My name is Maya Mariable, and I am the proud owner and operator of Maya’s Eatz and Treatz (M.E.A.Tz)! We are a full-service catering and personal chef company ready to handle any food service needs you may have, from intimate dinners to large celebrations. Our specialty is southern cuisine with a creative twist—comforting flavors elevated with surprising, delicious combinations. It’s the delectable surprise your taste buds have been waiting for!

The idea of M.E.A.Tz came about when I was dealing with a lot of turmoil in my personal life. After hitting rock bottom — which for me included two suicide attempts that I survived — I was forced to ask myself why I was still here and why those attempts hadn’t succeeded. I needed to understand my purpose and what kept me going. Over time I began to notice changes in myself. I still struggle with anxiety that can become overwhelming at times, but I also discovered cooking, and that creative outlet helped soothe my nerves and gave me a new reason to keep moving forward.

One day I shared some of my cooking and baking with my significant other, and she passed those goodies along to a few of her friends. Before long, one of those friends asked if I would make a pan of my Seafood MAC n Cheese for Thanksgiving. Word of mouth spread from there—people tasted my dishes and wanted to buy them. As requests kept coming in, a lightbulb went on: while this wasn't the path I had originally planned, it clearly felt like the direction I was meant to follow.
